Dante's most famous lovers
Paolo and Francesca are among the best-known figures in Dante's Inferno. Francesca da Rimini fell in love with Paolo, her husband's brother, while they read a romance together; discovered, both were killed, and Dante meets them in the second circle of Hell, swept along forever by a stormy wind. Their story has inspired painters, poets and composers for 700 years, and now it inspires a Visconti pen.
Every pen is unique
Visconti chose a resin in which passionate reds and deep blues swirl together into violet, with flashes of white like a stormy sky. Every piece is unique, so the pattern on your pen will never be repeated exactly.
Craftsmanship details
- The lovers' names engraved and enamelled on the central ring
- Individual edition number on the back of the clip
- Gold-plated trim and a matching gold-plated steel nib

Writing experience
The large stainless steel nib, finished in gold to match the trim, writes smoothly in Fine, Medium or Broad. The pen accepts standard international cartridges and comes with a converter, which holds about 1.1ml of bottled ink. The grip is about 10mm and the barrel about 12.4mm, so it suits most hands comfortably.
