2009
A breakthrough in the pen industry of India as Makoba opened its first store and headquarters in Chennai.
2010-2011
We ventured into Corporate Gifting and eventually became the trusted gifting partner for over 10,000
Corporates.
2012-2013
Makoba started specialising in Limited Edition Pens giving numerous pen collectors an opportunity to get their hands on some exclusive pieces never found before in the country.
2014-2015
We expanded our wings by establishing a dedicated office for our corporate clients. This is where all the magic happens behind the scenes of all your corporate orders.
2016
An overwhelming response across the country meant we had to open our 2nd retail store in the capital of India, New Delhi. A step towards connecting with every pen enthusiast and connoisseur in India.
2018
TImes of India awarded Makoba as the "Best Store for Premium Pens & Gifts" in India. A recognition of our unmatchable customer service and options of products.
2019
We did not just stop there. We spread our wings into the first city in India to be declared as a "World Heritage City" in India - Ahmedabad. Oh, and we also started importing one of the world's most luxurious brands - Montegrappa.
2020
The inception of our historic online site catered to all pen lovers - www.makoba.com. We even spread into the beautiful country of Italy by introducing another Italian brand to the Indian market - Leonardo
2021
A true delight for all pen collectors when we officially became the only company to get the most prestigious fountain pen brand in India - Namiki.
2023
Started the year with a bang by bringing 2 new brands in India - Esterbrook & Tibaldi. A treat for all pen lovers in the country.
2024
We expanded our portfolio of brands by becoming the official partners for Monteverde, Conklin, Wancher and one of the most highly sought after brands in the world - Graf Von Faber-Castell
