Exchange Or Return Policy
All products shipped out of Makoba undergo a strict QC before packaging to minimize any defective piece being shipped. Our QC team is always on its toes to ensure only the best products get shipped and the utmost care is taken in packaging. We use a good amount of foam/bubble wrap to ensure the safe delivery of your order. To ensure transparency in the whole process and to ensure compliance at our end, every online order received is photographed at the time of packaging with contents clearly visible. If at all any shortfall or pilferage is noticed, we will be able to refer to the images taken at the time of packaging. Nonetheless, if at all there is an unsatisfactory product received, below are the guidelines to get the error rectified.
1. Damaged goods / Pilferage: Please do not accept the package if there are any signs of tampering with the package or repacking. You can always reject it and we will get back the package as-is condition. If the packaging is perfect but still after opening the package, you find any particular product missing or the product is damaged because of poor handling, do not panic. Send us the photos of the contents using the WhatsApp chat button. We will get back to you with a remedy.
2. Cancellation after payment: Normally products ship the same day for orders received prior to 12 PM and the next day if orders are received post 4 PM. If for any reason, you want to hold the shipment or change your product, please use the WhatsApp chat button and intimate to customer care. We will get back to you with alternate product options. For any difference in payments, we would either refund the excess with us or share a payments link for the differential amount.
3. Returns: Under returns, there are two types. The first is in case the product did not match your expectation. Usually on-screen products look different and in reality, they can differ. We try to showcase actual product photos, most of the time. If still, the product received is not as perceived, keep all the original warranty cards and the unused product and invoice and repack the product with utmost care. Ship the product back to us at the below address. The amount paid for the product would get credited to your wallet on the site. This amount can be used for future purchases as required.
The second scenario for return or refund would be if the product received has any kind of manufacturing defect or malfunction. Please share images or videos of the product through to the customer care executive using the Whatsapp chat button on the home page. We will understand the concern and take the necessary corrective steps. In this case, too, the unused product with all original boxes, warranty cards, etc must be packaged with utmost care. Do not hand over the parcel with lose packaging to the courier company for return parcels. We will send you a shipping label that needs to be pasted on the packaging of the return box.
In any product returns scenario, it will be your responsibility to ensure proper packaging of the parcel so that we get back the contents safely.
*Please note: The courier charges will be borne by the customer unless it is a manufacturing defect. In such a scenario, it will be reimbursed only till a certain charge deemed by the seller*

4. Solving Usage mismatch: If you are not sure of the exact use age or know-how about the product received, we will guide you before you make a decision to return/ exchange the product. Please share the details with our Pen specialist via the WhatsApp chat button from the home page. We will get back to you with the right product usage guidelines.
Terms & Conditions of return / exchange policy:
- For all returns/ exchanges time limit is 3 working days. Please ensure you take immediate action as soon as the product is received.
- Any kind of customized product will not be accepted for exchange or return.
- All refunds/exchanges, if any will be done only after receipt of the unused product and its quality check. Please ensure all original boxes, covers, accessories are sent back in the package.
- Fountain pens that have been used will not be accepted back in returns
- Fountain pens that have their nibs tune by us on your specific instructions will not be accepted for returns or refunds or for exchange.
- All consumables such as refills, ink bottles, ink cartridges and papers will not be accepted for returns or exchange
ATTENTION: It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure proper packaging is done of the unused product to be returned such that the product is received in saleable condition. Refunds/exchanges will be initiated only once the quality check is completed on the returned products. Any deviation/damage/pilferage in return parcels will be borne by the customer.
We value our customers a lot and will go out of the way to solve all and any queries, as far as possible and that does not harm MAKOBA. Being in this trade since 2009 also gives us ample experience, knowledge on the products we deal in and the possible issues that may arise. We certainly hope there is little or no scope of any confrontation. we will try our maximum to solve all matters amicably.
