very good pen
This pen is quite smooth. Good ink flow. Line slightly varies with pressure. Love the colour. There is a tiny amount of feedback. Comfortable for long hours of writing. Fingers don't get stained with ink. Great value for money.
Product was really good and met expectation. Engraving was on mark as well, golden shade on Chrome Titanium metal was good.

I purchased my safari in umbra colour and medium nib a few weeks ago. It is a great pen and writes well. The pen writes relatively wet and doesnt bleed through page on most papers. Ive had no issues using classmate or camlin notebooks but they do bleed through papergrid notebooks. The nib was slightly rough in the first 2 days but then after cleaning it, it was smooth as butter. The only complaint i have is that the nib does not look perfectly symmetrical as the curve on the side is slightly less on the left than the right but it doesnt impact writing performance at all
The shipment, delivery & service experience from Makoba is always a delight. Then although looking fabulous and eye catching, requires a bit of maintenance before it can be used. I had to rinse the pen with Lukewarm water to stop the ink skipping issues.
I recently ordered a Lamy Al-Star fountain pen from Makoba Pen and am thoroughly impressed. The pen is of excellent quality, and the packaging was secure and well done. i have heard a lot about Pilot Custom series... i ordered the Custom 823.. Makoba sent to me neatly packed and what a pen this is... the balance, fluency and the build are well aligned and this is one of the best pens in my collection and i feel that it is a real value for money. I prefer writing with Fine point pens and this pen is right up there as the iconic pen in my collection.. really the King of Pens !!
I loved it from the moment the nib touched the paper. I abolutely love the smoothness and wetness of the nib.
Huge shout out to Makoba support. They helped me on WhatsApp answering some of the questions I have, which helped me to make the decision faster.
The one I purchased was having a medium nib. I used Iroshizuku Kon Peki ink on it. I found the writing to be too thick, and lots of ink gushed into the paper. As a result, the unique colour of Kon Peki ink is lost. Due to large ink deposit on paper, intense bleed through is visible. May be a Fine nib or EF nib would do much better...

Availability of additional fonts would be wonderful. The engraving is very clear and neat. Good facility. Very few in India have such an offer for their clients.

The nibs of both the Pilot Kakuno and the Pilot Metropolitan are same. Since, i already had the Medium nib of the Metropolitan, i chose the fine nib in the Kakuno. I am thoroughly enjoying the pens. Thanks Makoba for the pens. Its an amazing experience buying all genuine pens.
