This is my first pilot product, I loved it.
My first purchase from makoba. It’s a wonderful fountain pen for small handwriting. The point is finer than a usual Lamy fine nib. And the pen writes with a buttery smooth texture on Tomoe river paper.
It was also delivered very quickly after ordering. The packaging was very nice. Would love to purchase from Makoba again.

I bought this pen after hearing good things about it, but I didn’t expect much since everyone said it was just an entry-level pen. Turns, they were completely wrong. No one mentioned that once you use it, you’ll fall in love with it. They also left out the part about judging a book by its cover. This pen exceeds every standard I use to judge a pen—it’s simply fabulous. I absolutely love it, and it’s become my everyday carry.

The Pilot con-40 fountain pen writes like a dream. And the Leuchtturm 1917 notebook is gorgeous! The design is so thoughtful. I especially love the little pouch in the back cover!
I’m shocked that both the refills aren’t working
I just bought my very first fountain pen the pilot kakuno madoromi series
I was really nervous about it, will it arrive on time or not is the only question that was going through my head
But on the day it arrived the packaging was super safe I mean it took me 5 min just to remove the packaging, the pen was perfect fine, sealed and not a scratch on it.
The only problem was that it arrived 2 days late.
But overall the experience was great I would love to shop again with Makiba

Nice nib, writes very wet and smooth (more wet than the sport in the same nib size). The grip is decent, would have been better if the grip orientation could be rotated like you can on the pilot Kakuno.
It’s a fantastic pen, the grip section is very comfortable. Had to switch out the fine nib for medium, medium is more to my taste but it writes very nicely now.
For the money spent, the Pilot Kakuno fountain pen is good value for money. It writes quite smoothly. Only thing I dislike is the it has no clip to safely secure the pen in your shirt pocket.
The delivery came one day earlier than estimated.

The finish on FC Essentio Blue fountain pen is visually stunning, a hefty pen indeed the end chrome piece added at the bottom of the barrel makes it heavy. Definitely not for sweaty hands as the grip on the nib section is a ribbed brushed metal finish where some will find it slippery and the weight of the pen adds to this factor as well. What really surprised me was that the broad nib being scratchy and not fully smooth right out of the box, had to realign the tines of the nib using a magnifier and now it’s silky smooth. Posting the cap while writing makes the pen ridiculously long so I don’t recommend it at all. My only con is that the barrel of the pen has a small semi transparent black threaded plastic section that screws on to the nib section, if this tends to crack or break then the whole pen will not be as one but in 2 halves which will render useless, so one has to be careful while handling. Kudos to Makoba for making my purchase a memorable one, received a 10% discount on their anniversary sale and an additional Rs.100 off on my first purchase as well, what’s worth mentioning here is the professional packaging of the contents with safe and secure layers by makoba and shipped through Bluedart. Received defected Refills. No response from the team when contacted.
It's a good regular use pen. But it's nib point follow the Japanease style. It's medium point nib perform like European fine point. So careful to nib choice before purchase. Otherwise okay.
