As has been said countless times about this pen, the pen is smooth with a hint of feedback, it leaves nothing to be desired. The smoke black holds its own next to my MB pens. I'm very please with the pen.
Special note for Sam from Makoba, unusually excellent service. Thank you!
Good collections. Great price point. Love it.
The pen came in nicely packed. I am fully satisfied by the quality of the pen as well as the writing experience. Would also point that I had great support from the Makoba team, specifically Mr. Sam, who promptly not just updated me regarding the delivery but also shared the pictures of the actual pen before the delivery commenced.
The Sailor with the steel Zoom nib has been a pleasant surprise. The nib puts down a nicely wet line with excellent consistency and is far smoother than I expected from a steel nib. It does have Sailor’s characteristic pencil-like sound while writing, but there’s no scratchiness at all - just smooth, controlled feedback.
The pen itself feels slightly small and light in hand, and I found it much better balanced with the cap posted, which gives it the right length and weight for longer writing sessions.
For a fountain pen under ₹10,000, the writing experience is genuinely impressive. I did not expect this level of smoothness, flow, and overall refinement from a steel nib.
Special shout out to our super courteous sales support super man Sam! Haven’t seen such gentle but effective follow ups till I made the purchase. Kudos Man!
The writing experience is good and ink flow is very fluent even during summer. Happy with the product.
It's a great pen to have in collection. Despite of a non-gold i.e. steel nib, it is perfectly capable to provide that Sailor special experience. Very controlled writting, very minor but subtle feedback but at the same time perfectly smooth writer with satisfactory writting experience out of the box. I have inked it with Pilot Shin Kai. It suits very well to this pen.
It is one of the most valuable pens in my collection. After lot of research I finally bought Fine nib Pilot Custom 823 though I usually like Medium. Believe me, its a great pen and ecstatic to use. Especillay fine nib gives lot of control but its damn smooth. I inked it using Pilot Iroshizuku Kon Peki ink and what a combination it is. Simply superb. If want to have only one Tier 1 fountain pen.....without a second thought go for it.
This ink was being scalped on amazon and frankly, I was almost convinced until I remembered that I got this store and they always got my back. On that end, plus Sam helped me sort out my future notebook order.
This pen is excellent pen. Its metal but very light weight. Use very smooth
Smooth as silk.Writes like a swan gliding on water.
The product is really nice and as per my expectations.
The Support Team guided me throughout the process which really enhanced my purchasing experience.
I have been a Montblanc fan for years. This one is my first sailor and I am now a convert.

Do not get the omniflex nib, It was bad. The tines get splayed very easy and even if it is fixed it is very temperamental. Only works with some inks. I had to get another nib unit from overseas. The pen is also very heavy.
Fine medium nib is the best .
