Blue Wave
Blue Wave is a cool, oceanic take on the MP1, an exclusive colourway outside Monteverde's standard range. Fill it with a blue or turquoise ink and the barrel looks like seawater rolling in the light.
Monteverde's first piston filler
The MP1 was created to mark Monteverde's 25th anniversary, and it is the brand's first pen with a built-in piston. Turn the knob to draw ink straight from the bottle into the barrel, then let the Lock-It catch secure it so it cannot turn by accident. The Blue Wave MP1 holds roughly 2ml, far more than a cartridge.
The nib
A #6 stainless steel nib from JoWo in Germany sits on a plasma-treated feed for consistent flow. The Blue Wave MP1 is available from Extra Fine to Broad, as a 1.1 Stub and with Monteverde's flexible Omniflex nib.
