The airship pen
The Aero's grooved, cigar-like shape was inspired by the Zeppelin airships of the early twentieth century. It is one of the most distinctive modern German pen designs, and the Black Forest finish gives it a warm, natural character.
Unique on every pen
The wood-grain pattern is applied by hydro-dipping, so the grain lands a little differently on every body. Together with the matte black trim, it creates a pen that looks rich but understated.
How it writes
The #6 stainless steel nib, available from Extra Fine to Broad, is smooth and dependable. Diplomat includes both a cartridge (about 1.03ml) and a converter (about 1.12ml), so you can choose convenience or bottled ink from day one.
Weight and balance
- About 42g in total, with the cap around 11g
- A generous 14.8mm body for a relaxed grip
- Posts securely for writers who like a longer pen
