Description
Ripe cherries, dark and luscious: Private Reserve Black Cherry is a rich, dark red with a hint of black, a burgundy that rewards every pen you put it in.
What makes it special
Shading. Black Cherry moves from a dusty pink where the ink is thin to a deep wine colour where it pools, so even a plain fine nib gives your handwriting depth and character. Stub and flex nibs make the effect even more dramatic.
Ink personality
- Colour: dark burgundy with a black undertone
- Shading: high
- Saturation: high
- Flow: medium, wetter in broad and flex nibs
- Dry time: on the slower side, so let pages rest a moment
Perfect for
Love letters, wedding cards, journals and calligraphy practice. It is also a sophisticated alternative to black for signatures.
Not to be confused with
Black Magic Blue, another Private Reserve ink with a similar name but a deep blue colour.
