Paper and layout
At 100 gsm, the paper is on the heavier side for a notepad, which helps it handle fountain pens, roller balls and gel pens with less show-through and bleed-through than ordinary notebook paper. A hard case binding protects your pages and gives you a firm surface to write on, even on your lap.
Who is it for?
It is a great notepad for students, professionals, writers and anyone who thinks better on paper. It also makes a thoughtful gift, especially when paired with a pen from our fountain pen collection.
Choosing the right pen for it
Paper and pen work as a team. For the cleanest results on any notepad, a fine or extra fine fountain pen nib, a gel or roller ball pen, or a good ballpoint will all give crisp lines. If you love broad, wet nibs and saturated inks, test them on the last page first to see how the paper handles them. Browse our fountain pens and roller ball pens to find a perfect partner.
Care tips
Keep it away from water and direct heat, store it flat or upright on a shelf, and close it when not in use to keep the pages crisp. Let fountain pen ink dry for a few seconds before closing the cover to avoid transfer onto the facing page.
