Description
A glass of red wine, captured in ink: Private Reserve Burgundy Mist is a rich, saturated burgundy with a hint of purple, a long-time favourite with fountain pen users.
The colour
Reviewers describe it as a dark burgundy with rusty red and purple hues, the classic colour of autumn. It looks elegant on ivory paper and feels special for letters and invitations.
Writing feel
Burgundy Mist is a wet, free-flowing ink, which helps fine nibs feel smoother. Stub and italic nibs bring out shading, while finer nibs give a solid, deep line.
Use it for
- Wedding and festival cards
- Signatures that stand out without shouting
- Calligraphy practice with broad-edged nibs
Keep in mind
Good paper keeps it crisp, as wet inks can feather on absorbent sheets. No shimmer, and not water resistant.
