Description
Inspired by space exploration, the Montblanc StarWalker SpaceBlue Doué Ball Pen pairs a matte, deep space-blue resin barrel with dark ruthenium-coated fittings and a floating Montblanc emblem in the cap top.
Key highlights
- Brand: Montblanc
- Collection: StarWalker
- Colour: SpaceBlue
- Cap: metal (Doué)
- Fittings: ruthenium-coated
- Mechanism: twist
Patterned like a meteorite
The blue resin of the SpaceBlue Doué is carved with a pattern inspired by the Widmanstätten structures found inside iron meteorites. Its dark ruthenium coating gives a technical, modern look.
What Doué means
In Montblanc's language, Doué means a resin barrel paired with a metal cap, and the StarWalker SpaceBlue Doué follows that recipe. On the StarWalker SpaceBlue Doué, the ruthenium-coated metal cap adds weight and balance, about 42.5g in total.
The floating emblem
Like every StarWalker, the StarWalker SpaceBlue Doué has the Montblanc emblem set inside a transparent dome at the top of the cap, so it seems to float in space. On the StarWalker SpaceBlue Doué it is the signature detail.
