Description

Deep petrol blue and warm gold is a pairing with real presence. The Leonardo Pura No.8 Steel Nib Fountain Pen in Frosted Petrol GT sets gold plated trim against a soft frosted petrol blue resin, and the result is an oversized Italian piston filler that looks both modern and luxurious.

At a glance

Size: 156mm closed, 172mm posted, 16.8mm diameter.
Weight: 30g (10g cap, 20g barrel).
Nib: large No.8 steel nib in Fine, Medium or Broad.
Filling: built-in piston.
Trim: gold plated.
Made in: Italy.

A closer look at the colour

Petrol is a rich blue with a hint of green. The frosted finish softens it into a velvety, matte-looking surface, and the gold trim adds warmth and contrast. It's a classy pen that stands out without shouting.

Why oversized?

Bigger pens aren't just about looks. A wide grip spreads the pressure of your fingers, which many people find more comfortable, especially during long writing sessions or if they have larger hands.

Piston filled for bottled ink

The Pura's built-in piston lets you fill directly from any bottle. Try a teal, deep blue or gold-sheen ink to complement the colours.

A standout gift

For milestone birthdays, promotions or anyone who appreciates Italian craftsmanship, the Pura Petrol GT is a gift that feels truly special.

Platinum Preppy Fountain Pen, Black - Steel Nib

Good writing

This is my first pilot product, I loved it.

Beautiful Pen

My first purchase from makoba. It’s a wonderful fountain pen for small handwriting. The point is finer than a usual Lamy fine nib. And the pen writes with a buttery smooth texture on Tomoe river paper.
It was also delivered very quickly after ordering. The packaging was very nice. Would love to purchase from Makoba again.

Pilot Kakuno Azure Sky Fountain Pen - Light Blue

Pilot Kakuno

I bought this pen after hearing good things about it, but I didn’t expect much since everyone said it was just an entry-level pen. Turns, they were completely wrong. No one mentioned that once you use it, you’ll fall in love with it. They also left out the part about judging a book by its cover. This pen exceeds every standard I use to judge a pen—it’s simply fabulous. I absolutely love it, and it’s become my everyday carry.

Love the pen and the service!

The pen was pretty good but I wanted a super quick delivery and the team was very prompt with the replies. Great experience. Received it in 2 days.

The Pilot con-40 fountain pen writes like a dream. And the Leuchtturm 1917 notebook is gorgeous! The design is so thoughtful. I especially love the little pouch in the back cover!

Best first time experience with MAKOBA

I just bought my very first fountain pen the pilot kakuno madoromi series
I was really nervous about it, will it arrive on time or not is the only question that was going through my head
But on the day it arrived the packaging was super safe I mean it took me 5 min just to remove the packaging, the pen was perfect fine, sealed and not a scratch on it.
The only problem was that it arrived 2 days late.
But overall the experience was great I would love to shop again with Makiba

It’s a fantastic pen, the grip section is very comfortable. Had to switch out the fine nib for medium, medium is more to my taste but it writes very nicely now.
