A grey with character
Stone Grey sits in the middle of the grey spectrum: neither too dark nor too pale. It reads clearly on the page, yet feels softer and more considered than black. For notes, journaling and correspondence, it brings a calm, understated elegance that suits fine stationery.
Document-proof, not just beautiful
Graf von Faber-Castell states that Stone Grey is indelible according to DIN ISO 12757-2. In practice that means it is light-fast, resistant to many chemicals and solvents and cannot be erased. If paper gets wet, the line may soften slightly, but your writing remains legible. That makes it a rare grey you can trust for signatures, forms and important records.
Smooth flow, reliable starts
The ink is made to flow evenly in fountain pens and to start writing promptly, even after a pen has rested for a while. It suits any fountain pen with a converter or piston filler.
A bottle for the desk
The 75ml bottle is heavy and stable, with a wide neck that makes filling larger pens easy. Its design is elegant enough to leave out on display.
Pairs well with
- Graf von Faber-Castell and Faber-Castell fountain pens in silver, grey or black
- Cream or ivory paper, where the cool grey looks especially refined
- Matching Stone Grey cartridges for travel
