Visconti takes its famous Homo Sapiens shape and builds it from forged carbon, then lays flecks of pink anodised aluminium leaf into the composite so that the whole pen shimmers with a soft rose glow every time it catches the light.
It is a numbered limited edition of just 288 pieces worldwide, finished with rose gold trim and a rose gold plated 18K gold nib. Forged carbon with a rose glow
Forged carbon is made by pressing short carbon fibres under heat and pressure, which gives it a marbled, almost stone-like pattern instead of the woven check of ordinary carbon fibre. On the Visconti Carbon Rose fountain pen, Visconti mixes in pink aluminium leaf, so the dark marbling is lit by flashes of rose. No two barrels look exactly the same.
Aerospace-grade fittings
The metal parts of the Visconti Carbon Rose fountain pen are made of Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy also used in aerospace. It keeps the pen light and well balanced while feeling solid and precise. The rose gold plated trim, including Visconti's arched bridge clip, ties the whole design together.
Magnetic cap and power filler
Unlike most Homo Sapiens models, which use the Hook Safe Lock, the Visconti Carbon Rose fountain pen closes with a magnetic cap that snaps into place. Inside, Visconti's double reservoir power filler draws up about 3.6ml of bottled ink in a single stroke, so you can write for days between fills. A small window lets you check the ink level at a glance.
The 18K gold nib
Visconti makes the 18K gold nib of the Visconti Carbon Rose fountain pen in-house and plates it in rose gold to match the trim.
