Description
Remember weaving wildflowers into a crown on a sunny afternoon? In Japan that's called a hanakanmuri, a flower crown, and it's the playful inspiration behind the Sailor 1911 Casual Shikiori Kusa Asobi Hanakanmuri ball pen. Soft pink resin with gold plated trim gives it a sweet, springtime glow.
This is a pen that makes people smile. It's elegant enough for work, but it carries a little bit of childhood joy wherever it goes.
Part of the Kusa Asobi series
Kusa Asobi means "playing with grass", and Sailor designed this series around the nature games children play outdoors, like snow rabbits, leaf boats, acorns and, of course, flower crowns. All sit within the Sailor Shikiori collection, famous for its seasonal Japanese colour names.
Writing experience
The pen opens with a smooth twist, with no cap to misplace and no spring to break. Its resin barrel is 12mm in diameter and 134mm long, and it weighs 22g, so it feels light and easy to control. Ballpoint ink dries quickly, making it handy for greeting cards, planners, and everyday notes.
A gift idea that feels personal
For a best friend, a sister, a daughter heading to college, or a teacher who loves flowers, Hanakanmuri is a lovely choice. It comes in Sailor's original packaging with an international warranty card.
