Description
Ivory and gold is the colour scheme of wedding invitations, heirloom jewellery and old fountain pens in a grandparent's drawer. The Sailor 1911S Ivory ball pen borrows all of that grace and puts it in a slim, modern ballpoint you can carry every day.
Fountain pen looks, ballpoint convenience
A lot of people love the look of a classic Sailor 1911 fountain pen but don't want to deal with ink bottles and nib care. The 1911S ball pen solves that neatly. You get the same famous rounded silhouette and gold plated fittings, with the practicality of a twist-action ballpoint that works on any paper and never needs refilling from a bottle.
How it compares to other 1911S colours
The 1911S ball pen shares one shape across all its colours: 134mm long, a slim 9.5mm barrel and 21g in weight. Black is the formal choice and maroon the warm, traditional one. Ivory is the lightest and most delicate of the three, and it really shows off the gold trim.
Perfect for special moments
We often recommend the ivory 1911S for:
- Signing a marriage register or wedding guest book
- Gifting a newly married couple (it pairs nicely with the black 1911S)
- A retirement or milestone birthday present
- Anyone whose desk has a light, minimalist aesthetic
