A complete drop-in unit
The Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit arrives with the German-made JoWo steel nib already fitted to its feed and housing, so there is no need to pull nibs and feeds apart. Your old unit unscrews from the pen, and the Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit screws in its place.
Which pens does the Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit fit?
The Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit is made for most Monteverde and Conklin pens that take a #6 nib. It may fit other pens built for #6 JoWo nibs, but housing threads differ between brands, so please check with us before ordering the Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit for another make.
How the Omniflex grade writes
The Omniflex grade on the Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit offers Monteverde's softer steel flex nib, which gives gentle line variation as you add light pressure. The ruthenium finish of the Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit also changes the look of your pen.
Flex gently: about twice the resting line width is a good limit, because over-flexing can stop the tines of the Monteverde #6 Omniflex Ruthenium nib unit returning fully.
