A mermaid's colours
The ombre cap of the Mermaid Tales pen fades from green to purple like scales under water, topped with a purple finial. Each pen is numbered on the underside of the cap, and the box includes three mermaid stickers and a story card.
Lock-It piston filling
The MP1 has a built-in piston with Monteverde's Lock-It feature, which locks the piston knob so it cannot be turned by accident. The clear barrel holds a generous amount of ink and lets you watch it slosh as you write, so choose a bright ink to show it off.
A JoWo steel nib
The Mermaid Tales MP1 uses a German-made JoWo No. 6 steel nib. We offer it in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub 1.1 and Omniflex, a softer nib that gives a little line variation.
