Description
Montegrappa Universal Monsters Dracula Limited Edition Fountain Pen
In 1931, Bela Lugosi swept onto the screen as Count Dracula and created one of the most famous film monsters of all time. The Montegrappa Universal Monsters Dracula Limited Edition Fountain Pen brings that gothic legend to life in lost-wax cast sterling silver and deep crimson resin.
Made in Bassano del Grappa by Montegrappa, Italy's oldest pen manufacturer, the Montegrappa Dracula fountain pen is limited to just 135 pieces worldwide. It is a dramatic, storytelling pen for collectors of horror cinema, gothic art and Italian craftsmanship.
A secret door to Dracula's world
Montegrappa designed the Montegrappa Dracula fountain pen around the idea of a hidden door: look closely and you will find concealed details and nocturnal symbols worked into the cast silver. An upside-down bat, sculpted in fine detail, forms the clip on the cap.
A reservoir of blood
The Montegrappa Dracula fountain pen uses a free-drop reservoir: the barrel is filled directly with ink using an eyedropper. Through the crimson body you can watch the level of the 'blood' inside. Montegrappa includes a 50ml bottle of red ink, an eyedropper and a cleaning cloth, so the pen is ready to fill straight from its themed presentation box.
The 18K gold nib
Beneath the theatrics, the Montegrappa Dracula fountain pen is a serious writing instrument with an 18K gold nib, available from us in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub 1.1.
A pen with real weight
At 159mm long, 22mm across and about 130g, the Montegrappa Dracula fountain pen is a big, heavy pen best used for signatures and special occasions, or kept as the centrepiece of a collection.
