Inspired by 1906
The original Rouge et Noir of 1906 was a breakthrough: it let people write without dipping the nib into an inkwell. The Rouge et Noir ballpoint reinterprets that pen with a longer, slimmer silhouette.
The serpent clip
Its snake clip is stamped and wound from a special alloy, then aged through a galvanic and stripping process for a vintage look. The cap top carries the Montblanc emblem in coral and ivory-coloured resin.
Black lacquer and resin
The barrel of the Rouge et Noir is finished in black precious lacquer and the cap in black precious resin, with fittings that match the antique-look clip.
