Rose gold warmth
Rose gold-coated fittings soften the black resin and give the 149 a contemporary, warm glow, matched by the rose gold and rhodium finish on the nib.
An icon of writing
Montblanc introduced the Meisterstück line in 1924, and the 149 Black RGT is a version of its flagship fountain pen, with the famous cigar shape, the white Montblanc emblem inlaid in the cap top and a substantial, balanced feel at about 147mm capped and 32g.
The nib
The 149 Black RGT has a hand-crafted 18K gold nib, bi-colour rhodium and rose gold-coated, among the largest nibs Montblanc makes. The nib of the 149 Black RGT glides with a soft, generous line, and we offer it in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad.
Piston filling
The 149 Black RGT fills from a bottle with its built-in piston: turn the end of the barrel and draw the ink up. An ink window on the 149 Black RGT shows when it is time to refill.
