Why choose Butterscotch?
Butterscotch is a mellow, vintage-looking shade for journals and sketches that need to last. In Butterscotch, pigment particles sit on the surface of the paper rather than soaking in like dye, which helps the colour stay sharp and resist water once dry.
Tips for pigment ink
- Shake the Butterscotch bottle gently before filling
- Choose a pen that is easy to clean, such as a cartridge/converter model
- Do not let Butterscotch dry inside the pen for long periods
- Rinse the pen with clean water when you change colours
Frequently asked questions
Is Diamine Forever Butterscotch waterproof?
Butterscotch is water resistant once fully dry, so writing stays legible after a spill.
Can I use Butterscotch in any fountain pen?
Butterscotch is formulated for fountain pens. We suggest keeping Butterscotch in a pen you use often and clean regularly.
Is Butterscotch good for drawing?
Yes. Its permanence makes Butterscotch popular for sketching and line work that may later be painted over with watercolour.
