Description
Visconti Homo Sapiens Roller Ball Pen - Carbon Abyssus (Limited Edition)
Dark as the deep ocean, light as a feather. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Carbon Abyssus Roller Ball Pen is a limited edition of 288 pieces worldwide, made from forged carbon woven with threads of blue anodised aluminium foil.
Handmade in Florence, the Carbon Abyssus rollerball takes its look from the nocturnal sea: inky black carbon, flashes of blue and fittings in blue-anodised Ergal, the high-strength alloy used in aerospace. It is a pen for collectors who love modern materials and bold design.
A unique pattern
Because forged carbon is pressed, no two Carbon Abyssus rollerball barrels are alike. The swirling fibres and blue highlights shift as you turn the pen in your hand.
Light but strong
Carbon and Ergal make the Carbon Abyssus rollerball remarkably light for its size, while staying strong and resistant to scratches. The laser-engraved Visconti clip shows a glint of bare metal.
Magnetic cap
The cap of the Carbon Abyssus rollerball closes with a magnet: just bring it close and it clicks home. It also posts, for a longer writing length.
Writing
The Carbon Abyssus rollerball uses a 0.7mm rollerball refill for a smooth, liquid line. It is 145mm long and 16mm in diameter.
