The Visconti Homo Sapiens Lava Color Ash White Fountain Pen is an absolute must-have for colour and nature lovers. This pen has an exceptional writing experience, crafted from hardened basaltic lava sourced from the Mount Etna volcano in Italy and trimmed with ruthenium. The basaltic lava is mixed with resin to create a pen with a high degree of resilience and a flameproof resistance to heat of over 100°C. This pen has a slightly hygroscopic property, allowing it to absorb hand sweat during use.
The Homo Sapiens Lava Color is a combination of this high valued material and colored resin, giving it a unique and stylish look. The process of catalysing the lava material with coloured resin is very complex but the final look of the writing instrument is unique and makes the collection stand out from other Homo Sapiens editions. This new edition also has an anti-stain treatment that protects the pen and prevents ink from depositing on the pen during the refilling phase. It also features a power filling system that is easy to use and has a huge ink capacity. The volcanic lava rock used to make this pen is virtually unbreakable, naturally hygroscopic and very comfortable to write with.
The Lava Color features a magnetic lock closing system which makes opening and closing it effortless, making it the perfect for pen enthusiasts. The 14K gold nib delivers an amazingly smooth writing experience, making this a must-have for every Visconti pen enthusiast.

I have only heard about Ranga fountain pens, an elegant customised handmade Indian genre from a passionate maker. This is for the first time I saw this classic, simple yet beautiful and cigar shaped large yet so well balanced Ranga pen. Its an elegant pen with super smooth medium nib thats almost as refined as a fine nib and with such a smooth ink flow. The pen is very well balanced compared to the robust size.
