Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil - Red/Royal Blue (Special Edition)
Few design movements have shaped the objects on our desks as much as the Bauhaus, and the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil pays it a colourful tribute. The Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil in Red/Royal Blue is a special edition from the German notebook maker, finished in a bold pairing of red and royal blue.
The Bauhaus school opened in Weimar in 1919 and taught that everyday things like the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil should be both beautiful and useful. Leuchtturm1917 brings that thinking to its twist-action pencil, and the red and royal blue colourway of the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil makes it an eye-catching gift for designers, architects, students and anyone who sketches.
Twist, do not click
Drehgriffel means 'twist grip'. Instead of a push button, the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil advances its lead when you turn the head, an idea borrowed from the propelling pencils of the 1920s. It is quiet and precise, so the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil suits libraries, lectures and late-night planning.
Machined metal body
Aluminium and brass are precision-milled, painted and sealed to make the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil. The six-sided barrel will not roll off a sloping desk, and the slim tapered tip lets you see exactly where the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil meets the page.
Why 0.7mm lead?
A 0.7mm lead is sturdy enough for firm handwriting and bold enough for quick sketches, margin notes and layouts, so the Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil rarely snaps a lead mid-sentence.
Size
The Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil is 130mm long and 9mm across, and at about 12g it is light enough for long sessions. The Red/Royal Blue Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil is clipless.
