Inspired by the desert
Desert Mirage recalls the shimmer of light over sand at midday, when the horizon seems to ripple. Because the resin is poured by hand, the swirls are random: no two Desert Mirage pens look exactly alike, and yours will be truly one of a kind.
What is the Laban 326?
The Desert Mirage 326 takes the proud, stately profile of the Laban 325 and remixes it with bespoke, handcrafted resin from Carolina Pen Company. Jonathon Brooks is famous among pen makers for his vivid, layered blanks, and the Desert Mirage colourway brings his work to an accessible, everyday fountain pen.
Nib and filling
Under the cap of the Desert Mirage is a size #6 Jowo nib from Germany, gold-plated to match the trim and engraved with '3952', the height of Mount Jade in Taiwan. The Desert Mirage 326 accepts standard international cartridges and comes with a converter, so it is ready for bottled ink.
Styling the Desert Mirage
Warm browns are among the most versatile pen colours. Desert Mirage goes beautifully with leather journals, tan notebooks and sepia or brown-black inks.
