Visconti Maze Limited Edition Roller Ball Pen
Myth, craftsmanship and a game, all in one pen. The Visconti Maze Limited Edition Roller Ball Pen hides a golden labyrinth inside a transparent barrel, with a tiny ruby sphere that rolls through its paths as you turn the pen.
Visconti, the Florentine house founded in 1988, is known for pens that are as much art objects as writing tools, and the Visconti Maze rollerball is one of its most imaginative. Only 188 pieces have been made worldwide, so the Visconti Maze rollerball is a true collector's treasure.
The legend of the labyrinth
The Visconti Maze rollerball is inspired by the Greek myth of Theseus and Ariadne. At the end of the barrel of the Visconti Maze rollerball sits the head of the Minotaur; guide the ruby sphere to the central plaza in aged bronze, and if it drops into a dead end it restarts from the Minotaur's mouth.
Craftsmanship in every detail
The cap of the Visconti Maze rollerball is engraved and filled with red enamel, the rings and section are in aged palladium, and the gold-plated clip carries the Visconti name in red enamel.
Smooth rollerball writing
The Visconti Maze rollerball uses a rollerball refill with liquid ink, so it glides across the page with almost no pressure, and its screw cap keeps the tip protected.
Size
The Visconti Maze rollerball is a substantial, weighty pen, about 151mm long and 18.5mm in diameter capped. It is handmade in Florence.
