Visconti Maze Limited Edition Fountain Pen
A pen you can play with. The Visconti Maze Limited Edition Fountain Pen hides a golden labyrinth inside a transparent barrel, with a tiny ruby sphere that rolls through its paths as you turn the pen.
Visconti, the Florentine house founded in 1988, is known for pens that are as much art objects as writing tools, and the Visconti Maze fountain pen is one of its most imaginative. Only 188 pieces have been made worldwide, so the Visconti Maze fountain pen is a true collector's treasure.
The legend of the labyrinth
The Visconti Maze fountain pen is inspired by the Greek myth of Theseus and Ariadne. At the end of the barrel of the Visconti Maze fountain pen sits the head of the Minotaur; guide the ruby sphere to the central plaza in aged bronze, and if it drops into a dead end it restarts from the Minotaur's mouth.
Craftsmanship in every detail
The cap of the Visconti Maze fountain pen is engraved and filled with red enamel, the rings and section are in aged palladium, and the gold-plated clip carries the Visconti name in red enamel.
18K gold nib and Power Filler
The Visconti Maze fountain pen writes with an 18K yellow gold nib, offered in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and a 1.3mm Stub, and fills with Visconti's vacuum Power Filler, here in its slimmest version yet.
Size
The Visconti Maze fountain pen is a substantial, weighty pen, about 151mm long and 18.5mm in diameter capped. It is handmade in Florence.
