Description
Visconti Homo Sapiens Fountain Pen - Carbon Abyssus (Limited Edition)
Inspired by the sea at night. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Carbon Abyssus Fountain Pen is a numbered limited edition of 288 pieces in forged carbon, threaded with anodised blue aluminium foil that glimmers like moonlight on deep water.
Visconti's Homo Sapiens is one of the most celebrated modern Italian pens. The Carbon Abyssus fountain pen is the second carbon model in the line: its carbon fibres are denser than before for a more even surface, and its metal parts are made from Ergal, an aluminium alloy used in aerospace, anodised a deep blue.
Forged carbon and blue
Forged carbon is pressed rather than woven, so every Carbon Abyssus fountain pen has a unique swirling pattern. The blue foil beneath catches the light, giving the Carbon Abyssus fountain pen an iridescent depth that the name 'Abyssus' (the abyss) captures perfectly.
18K gold nib
The Carbon Abyssus fountain pen writes with Visconti's in-house 18K gold nib, plated in dark ruthenium to match the pen. We offer Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and a 1.3mm Stub.
Double reservoir power filler
The Carbon Abyssus fountain pen uses Visconti's patented double reservoir power filler, a vacuum system that holds about 3.63ml of ink. The second reservoir helps prevent leaks when flying, so the Carbon Abyssus fountain pen is a fine travel companion.
Magnetic cap
The cap of the Carbon Abyssus fountain pen closes with a magnet and posts securely. It is 146mm long capped and 173.4mm posted.
