The Taccia Hyakko-Hisho II fountain pens are created in a limited edition and have the serial number and the craftsman's name stamped on the pen. Made out of ebonite, with a gold plated clip and a 14K gold nib, the Hyakko-Hisho second collection includes five different fountain pens: Sango, Tomoshibi, Hoshikage, Matsuba, and Bengara. The designs present on the Hyakko-Hisho fountain pens come from the designs for the scabbard of the swords of Samurai. Those many crafts have inspired this collection so the Hyakko-Hisho fountain pens will allow you a first-hand meeting with history. Taccia Hyakko-Hisho II fountain pens are made of ebonite with a hexagonal or round body and decorated in a Kawari-Nuri lacquer layer. Kawari-Nuri includes experimental urushi lacquer techniques in which different additives, materials, and techniques are brought together. The results are surprising with playful motifs in which chance plays an important role. The lacquer work on the Taccia Hyakko-Hisho fountain pens is inspired by the age-old techniques recorded in the Hyakku-Hisho, an essential reference book registered in the 17th - 18th century. It describes the traditional techniques that have been passed down from almost all conventional crafts with over 20,000 materials. The Taccia Hyakko-Hisho II fountain pens are limited to 50 pieces per version. The pen fills with Sailor ink cartridges or converter.
