The story behind Paradisus
Like its sister editions, the Paradisus 14K flex pen draws on the Liber Paradisus, a decree issued in Bologna in 1256 and often cited as one of Europe's earliest legal affirmations that all people are born free. Scribo, itself based in Bologna, uses the Paradisus 14K flex version to link the act of writing with intellectual and personal freedom.
Solid ebonite, warm to the touch
The Paradisus 14K flex pen's body is solid ebonite with a matte finish, which feels warmer and grips better than polished resin. Its colour, blue ebonite with red veins, is set off by palladium trim, and the generous La Dotta proportions, about 148mm capped, make the Paradisus 14K flex a comfortable pen for long sessions.
The 14K flexible nib
On the Paradisus pen, Scribo's 14K flexible gold nib responds to pressure, widening the line as you press and narrowing as you lighten your touch. The Paradisus 14K flex nib brings calligraphic character to everyday handwriting, and an ebonite feed keeps up with the extra ink flow.
