- Trim: warm gold

- Filling: Sailor cartridges or converter
- Cap: screw cap

Blue with a vintage soul
Muted Blue has a calm, slightly dusty tone that feels timeless rather than trendy. With gold trim, it looks elegant and mature, a pen that will feel just as right in ten years as it does today.
Comfortable for long writing
The 1911L's larger profile fills the hand nicely and is well balanced, so long writing sessions stay comfortable. The screw cap keeps the nib secure in a bag or pocket.
Frequently asked questions
Which nib size should I choose?
Sailor nibs run finer than European sizes. Medium Fine is an excellent all-rounder; choose EF or F for very small writing, and M or B for a bolder line.
Does it use standard cartridges?
It uses Sailor's own cartridges or a Sailor converter for bottled ink.
Perfect pairings
Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo gives a rich blue-black with elegant shading. For a brighter, vintage-inspired blue, try Sailor Shikiori Souten.
