Frost on the 849
The Alpine Frost Blue 849 has an iridescent glacier blue lacquer with blue pad printing, and the clip and button are varnished glacier blue to match. The ice-crystal patterns on the Alpine Frost Blue 849 catch the light as you turn it, a seasonal twist on Caran d'Ache's best-known design.
The famous 849 shape
Like every 849, the Alpine Frost Blue 849 has a slim, light, six-sided aluminium barrel that rests comfortably in the hand and stays put on the desk. A push-button mechanism and flexible clip make the Alpine Frost Blue 849 easy to use on the go.
The Goliath refill
The Alpine Frost Blue 849 writes with Caran d'Ache's Goliath cartridge in black, medium. Goliath refills are known for their long writing life, and the one in the Alpine Frost Blue 849 is swapped in seconds.
