Platinum Curidas Stones Fountain Pen - Iolite (Special Edition)
Gemstone colour meets clever Japanese engineering. The Platinum Curidas Stones Fountain Pen in Iolite is a retractable fountain pen: press the button and the nib appears, ready to write; press again and it slides safely away.
The Stones special edition, including the Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen, celebrates 60 years since Platinum made its first retractable fountain pen in 1965. Each colour is named after a 'power stone', and the Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen is colour #28 Iolite, finished in a violet inspired by iolite, the 'water sapphire' that seems to change colour as you turn it.
A finish that shifts with the light
The barrel of the Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen is coated with a deflected pearl finish over ABS resin, so it glows and changes tone as you turn it, much like a polished gemstone.
Retractable convenience
Because there is no cap to remove, the Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen is perfect for quick notes in meetings, lectures and on the move. An internal seal keeps the Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen nib from drying out.
Steel nib, Fine or Medium
The Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen writes with a stainless steel nib in Fine or Medium. Japanese grades run fine, so the Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen is a great choice for neat, compact handwriting.
Filling and size
The Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen takes Platinum cartridges, or a Platinum converter (sold separately) for bottled ink. The Platinum Curidas Stones Iolite fountain pen is 153mm long, 13.8mm wide and about 24g.
