Pilot Metropolitan Retro Pop with Con40 Converter Fountain Pen - Purple Ellipse CT
A little bit of 1960s cool. The Pilot Metropolitan Retro Pop Fountain Pen in Purple Ellipse has a glossy purple metal body wrapped with a band of overlapping ellipses, and comes with a Pilot CON-40 converter.
Pilot, the maker of the Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse, was founded in Tokyo in 1918 and makes some of the world's most reliable fountain pens. The Metropolitan is its best-loved affordable model, and the Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse adds playful 1960s-inspired colour, making it an ideal first fountain pen for students, journalers and anyone curious about writing with ink.
Retro Pop styling
The Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse has a sleek, rounded shape with a chrome-finished cap and clip. A band of overlapping ellipses around the middle of the Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse gives it its retro character.
Japanese steel nib
The Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse writes with a stainless steel nib in Fine, Medium or Cursive Medium. Japanese nibs write finer than European ones, so the Fine nib of the Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse suits small handwriting, while the Cursive Medium is an italic-style nib that adds crisp thick-and-thin character to your letters.
Cartridge or converter
The Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse comes with a Pilot CON-40 converter, so you can fill it from any bottle of fountain pen ink, and it also takes Pilot ink cartridges.
Size and weight
The Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse is 138mm long capped, 153mm posted and 13mm in diameter. At about 26g, the metal body of the Metropolitan Retro Pop Purple Ellipse feels solid and well balanced without being heavy.
