Description
Black on black, with nothing shiny to distract: the Opus 88 Jazz Fountain Pen in All Black BT is a stealthy, understated black fountain pen for writers who like their tools serious and simple. The resin body and the trim are both black, so the only thing that stands out is your ink on the page.
Five reasons the Jazz All Black works so well
- Eyedropper filling. The barrel itself holds the ink, so you fill it straight from a bottle and write for a long time between refills.
- Seven nib choices. Steel Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub 1.5, Extra Fine Flex and Fine Flex.
- Full-size comfort. 151.5mm capped, 173mm posted and 15mm in diameter.
- Balanced weight. 28g in total, split between a 12g cap and a 16g barrel.
- Screw cap that posts. Use it capped on the back for a longer pen, or unposted for a lighter feel.
Which nib suits your handwriting?
- EF and F: small, tidy writing, diaries and planners
- M: relaxed everyday notes and letters
- B: bold writing that shows off shading inks
- Stub 1.5: broad downstrokes and thin cross-strokes for headings and signatures
- EF Flex and F Flex: gentle line variation when you add a little pressure
An all-black pen for work and gifting
A blacked-out pen looks at home in a boardroom, a design studio or a university lecture hall. It also makes a smart, gender-neutral gift for men and women who prefer quiet style over bling.
