Description
The Omas Ogiva Verde fountain pen brings together a rich green resin and gold-plated trim, a classic combination that never goes out of style. "Verde" is Italian for green, and this pen has all the character you'd expect from a historic Italian maker: a 14K gold nib, a built-in piston filler and a full-size, beautifully balanced body. It's a green fountain pen to treasure.
Omas: Italian pen making from Bologna
Omas is one of Italy's historic pen houses, founded in Bologna in 1925 and known for classic Italian design and quality craftsmanship. The Ogiva is one of its signature models, named for its elegant pointed-arch (ogive) shape.
14K gold nib in four sizes
The Ogiva comes with a 14K gold nib, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad. Gold nibs have a smooth, slightly cushioned feel that makes long writing sessions comfortable. Extra Fine and Fine are ideal for small handwriting and notebooks, while Medium and Broad lay down a generous, expressive line.
Built-in piston filler
Filling is by a built-in piston mechanism: dip the nib into a bottle of ink and turn the knob to draw it up. Piston fillers let you use any bottled ink and are a hallmark of classic Italian fountain pens.
A substantial, well-balanced pen
The Ogiva is a full-size pen, 151mm capped and 178mm posted, with a 14mm diameter. At 40g in total (13g cap, 27g barrel), it has a real presence in the hand, and most of the weight sits in the barrel for a stable, controlled writing feel. The screw cap keeps the nib secure.
