Description
Unlock the world of bottled ink. The Monteverde MV31071 Push Type Converter fits fountain pens that take standard international cartridges and lets you fill them from any bottle of ink.
Key highlights
- Model: MV31071
- Mechanism: push type (press-and-release)
- Fits: standard international cartridge pens
- Use: fills from bottled ink
- Brand: Monteverde
How the MV31071 push converter works
Instead of a twisting piston, the MV31071 uses a push mechanism. Dip the nib into your ink bottle, press the converter to expel air, release, and the converter draws ink in. Repeat a few times for a fuller fill.
Why switch from cartridges?
Cartridges are convenient, but bottled ink gives you hundreds of colours, better value over time and the chance to try special inks such as shimmering or sheening ones. A converter like the MV31071 is the inexpensive step that opens all of that up.
Compatibility
The MV31071 suits pens built for standard international cartridges, used by many European makers. It does not fit pens with proprietary cartridges, such as Parker, Sheaffer, Cross, Pilot, Sailor, Platinum, Aurora or Lamy. If you are unsure, our team can check your pen for you.
Frequently asked questions
Does the MV31071 fit a Monteverde pen?
It fits Monteverde pens and other models that use standard international cartridges.
How do I clean a push converter?
Fill and empty it with clean water through the nib until the water runs clear.
Is a push converter better than a piston one?
Both work well. A push design like the MV31071 is quick to use, while a screw piston gives finer control.
