Monteverde Jowo Omniflex #6 Steel Nib Unit - Chrome
Moving your pen to an Omniflex chrome nib is easier than most people think. The Monteverde JoWo Omniflex #6 Steel Nib Unit in Chrome is a complete replacement nib unit that screws straight into your Monteverde pen, so you can move to a new line width in under a minute.
Monteverde, the American brand known for well-made, affordable fountain pens, uses nibs from JoWo in Germany for pens like the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit. JoWo is one of the most respected nib makers in the world, and the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit gives you that German quality as a spare, an upgrade or a second line width for one pen.
A complete, ready-to-fit nib unit
The Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit arrives as a complete assembly: the German-made JoWo steel nib is already seated on its feed and housing, so you never have to pull a nib and feed apart. Unscrew the old unit from your Monteverde pen, screw in the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit, flush it with water, and it is ready to ink up.
How the Omniflex grade writes
The Omniflex grade on the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit gives a soft, flexible line that widens with gentle pressure, which makes it a great match for people who enjoy line variation in their handwriting. Not sure the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit is the right width? Our team can compare the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit with yours.
The finish
The Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit is finished in polished silver-coloured steel; it suits pens with chrome, silver or palladium trim. Because the whole unit is replaced, you can also use the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit to change the look of your pen as well as the way it writes.
Which pens does it fit?
The Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit is made for Monteverde fountain pens that take a #6 nib unit, and it is also used by many Conklin pens that share the same #6 housing. Housing threads vary between brands, so if you want to fit the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit to another make of pen, please check with us before ordering.
Flexing with care
The Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit rewards a light touch: let it open to around twice its resting width and no more, because pressing too hard can stop the tines of the Monteverde #6 Omniflex chrome nib unit springing back fully. Wetter inks bring out its line variation best.
