Key facts

Nib #6 steel: EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, Stub 1.5
Filling cartridge or converter (both included)
Size 147mm closed, 16.5mm diameter
Weight 27g

Heritage you can hold

Montegrappa, founded in Bassano del Grappa in 1912, drew on its own archive for this pen. The rounded ends and the 1928 logo come straight from the Art Deco years, reimagined in a modern resin.

Two stubs to explore

Besides the usual Extra Fine to Broad, you can pick a 1.1mm or 1.5mm stub. Stubs lay down broad downstrokes and thin cross-strokes, adding a hint of calligraphy to everyday handwriting.

Who should buy it

First-time Montegrappa owners, fans of vintage-shaped pens and anyone who wants an Italian fountain pen in a cheerful, distinctive blue.

Beautiful Pen

My first purchase from makoba. It’s a wonderful fountain pen for small handwriting. The point is finer than a usual Lamy fine nib. And the pen writes with a buttery smooth texture on Tomoe river paper.
It was also delivered very quickly after ordering. The packaging was very nice. Would love to purchase from Makoba again.

Pilot Kakuno Azure Sky Fountain Pen - Light Blue

Pilot Kakuno

I bought this pen after hearing good things about it, but I didn’t expect much since everyone said it was just an entry-level pen. Turns, they were completely wrong. No one mentioned that once you use it, you’ll fall in love with it. They also left out the part about judging a book by its cover. This pen exceeds every standard I use to judge a pen—it’s simply fabulous. I absolutely love it, and it’s become my everyday carry.

The Pilot con-40 fountain pen writes like a dream. And the Leuchtturm 1917 notebook is gorgeous! The design is so thoughtful. I especially love the little pouch in the back cover!

Best first time experience with MAKOBA

I just bought my very first fountain pen the pilot kakuno madoromi series
I was really nervous about it, will it arrive on time or not is the only question that was going through my head
But on the day it arrived the packaging was super safe I mean it took me 5 min just to remove the packaging, the pen was perfect fine, sealed and not a scratch on it.
The only problem was that it arrived 2 days late.
But overall the experience was great I would love to shop again with Makiba

Pilot Metropolitan

It’s a fantastic pen, the grip section is very comfortable. Had to switch out the fine nib for medium, medium is more to my taste but it writes very nicely now.
