Description

A vintage Italian silhouette with a solid 14K gold nib: the Montegrappa Venetia 14K Gold Fountain Pen in Halcyon Blue CT.

Why gold?

A gold nib has a little more spring than steel. It softens the feel of every stroke, adapts to your writing angle over time and resists corrosion from inks for decades. It is the choice of writers who use their pen every day.

Choose your nib

  • Standard 14K: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Stub 1.1
  • 14K Flex: Extra Fine Flex and Fine Flex, which open up under gentle pressure for line variation, ideal for expressive handwriting and calligraphy

The Venetia story

Inspired by the late 1920s, when the Veneto region enjoyed an industrial and artisanal revival, the Venetia carries Montegrappa's historic 1928 logo and rounded bullet-nose ends. Halcyon Blue, a vibrant clear blue, gives the old shape a fresh, contemporary look.

Practical details

Fill it with cartridges or bottled ink using the included converter. The screw cap keeps the nib safe in a bag or pocket, and the 16.5mm barrel offers a full, comfortable grip.

Beautiful Pen

My first purchase from makoba. It’s a wonderful fountain pen for small handwriting. The point is finer than a usual Lamy fine nib. And the pen writes with a buttery smooth texture on Tomoe river paper.
It was also delivered very quickly after ordering. The packaging was very nice. Would love to purchase from Makoba again.

Pilot Kakuno Azure Sky Fountain Pen - Light Blue

Pilot Kakuno

I bought this pen after hearing good things about it, but I didn’t expect much since everyone said it was just an entry-level pen. Turns, they were completely wrong. No one mentioned that once you use it, you’ll fall in love with it. They also left out the part about judging a book by its cover. This pen exceeds every standard I use to judge a pen—it’s simply fabulous. I absolutely love it, and it’s become my everyday carry.

The pen was pretty good but I wanted a super quick delivery and the team was very prompt with the replies. Great experience. Received it in 2 days.

The Pilot con-40 fountain pen writes like a dream. And the Leuchtturm 1917 notebook is gorgeous! The design is so thoughtful. I especially love the little pouch in the back cover!

Best first time experience with MAKOBA

I just bought my very first fountain pen the pilot kakuno madoromi series
I was really nervous about it, will it arrive on time or not is the only question that was going through my head
But on the day it arrived the packaging was super safe I mean it took me 5 min just to remove the packaging, the pen was perfect fine, sealed and not a scratch on it.
The only problem was that it arrived 2 days late.
But overall the experience was great I would love to shop again with Makiba

It’s a fantastic pen, the grip section is very comfortable. Had to switch out the fine nib for medium, medium is more to my taste but it writes very nicely now.
