Its colour name is part of the appeal: a change of mood without changing your favourite pen.

A burgundy accent for more personal handwriting
Consider Bordeaux for a reading journal, dated entries or a handwritten gift message. Pairing one distinctive ink with a notebook you enjoy can turn an occasional writing session into a small ritual you look forward to.
Make the Colour Your Own
A writing sample tells you more than a colour name alone. Try a few lines on the paper you normally use, let them dry and look at the result in your usual light. The pen, paper and amount of ink on the page all contribute to what you see. When filling, follow your pen’s instructions; a cartridge/converter model needs its compatible converter to draw ink from a bottle. Keep the bottle closed between fills and follow the pen maker’s cleaning guidance when changing colours.
