Description
The Esterbrook x Bungubox Estie Kachofugetsu Flower fountain pen is a collaboration between the historic American pen maker Esterbrook and Bungubox, the celebrated Japanese stationery boutique. "Kachofugetsu" is a Japanese phrase for the beauty of nature (flower, bird, wind and moon), and this Flower edition captures it with a soft pink resin body and gold-plated trim. It's a collector-worthy Esterbrook Estie that also writes beautifully every day.
The Esterbrook Estie
The Estie is Esterbrook's signature modern fountain pen, known for its generous size, smooth writing and classic cushion-shaped design. This regular-size Estie measures 149mm capped and 170mm posted, with a 13.3mm diameter. It weighs 24g (8g cap, 16g barrel), so it's comfortable for long writing without feeling heavy. The screw cap threads on securely and can be posted.
Steel nib in four sizes
Choose a steel nib in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or Broad. Finer nibs suit smaller handwriting and daily journaling; Medium and Broad give a smoother, wetter line that really brings out the colour of your ink.
Cartridge and converter included
The Estie fills by cartridge or converter, and both are included. A cartridge holds about 1.67ml, and the converter about 1.13ml for use with bottled inks. A pink or rose ink makes a lovely pairing with the Kachofugetsu Flower finish.
