Inspired by Papua New Guinea
The Simbu people of Papua New Guinea's Highlands are known for ancestral rituals, including a dance in which warriors decorate themselves as living skeletons. That imagery is reproduced here as an openwork silver overlay, cast using the traditional lost-wax technique.
White and rose gold
Of the three Simbu versions, the White is the most luminous. The pale resin makes the rose-gold skeleton overlay stand out like ceremonial paint on skin, a dramatic yet elegant contrast.
A large, generous nib
The No.8 14K gold nib is one of the largest used on modern pens. It suits the Simbu's substantial body and gives a smooth, cushioned writing feel. An ebonite feed supports consistent flow.
Collector highlights
- One of only 88 Simbu White fountain pens
- Lost-wax cast sterling silver overlay
- Piston filler from the Maiora workshops
