A people and a ritual
Delta named this edition after the Simbu, Highland people of Papua New Guinea who are celebrated for their 'Dancing Skeletons' tradition. The skeleton motif lives on in the lost-wax cast overlay that encircles the barrel.
The richest Simbu
Vermeil means sterling silver finished in gold. On the Simbu, the golden skeleton cage glows against the black resin, giving the most opulent version of the design and a matching companion to the Simbu Vermeil rollerball.
Substantial and impressive
With its metal overlay, the Simbu is a large, weighty pen that feels like a piece of jewellery in the hand. The No.8 gold nib is generous in size and smooth on the page.
Highlights
- One of only 88 Vermeil fountain pens
- Lost-wax cast overlay depicting ritual skeletons
- Drum-inspired clip and piston filling
