Ritual, translated into silver
For the Simbu of the Papua New Guinea Highlands, ritual and ancestry are central to daily life. Their famous skeleton dancers inspired the sculpted overlay of this pen, a cage of sterling silver that seems to dance around the dark resin.
Black and silver
This is the classic Simbu: bright sterling silver against deep black resin. The contrast echoes the white skeletal paint against dark skin in the Simbu ritual, making it the most dramatic version of the design.
Writing with a No.8 nib
Delta fits the Simbu with a large No.8 14K gold nib, which gives a smooth and comfortable writing experience. The piston mechanism holds a generous supply of ink, and the ebonite feed keeps the flow steady.
Why collectors love it
- Solid sterling silver overlay, cast by hand
- Part of Delta's long-running Indigenous People series
- A pen that tells a cultural story
