Description

TWSBI Diamond 580ALR Fountain Pen - Affogato Onyx

Coffee, served as a fountain pen. The TWSBI Diamond 580ALR Fountain Pen in Affogato Onyx pairs a clear, faceted demonstrator body with rich coffee-brown details and a dark onyx-coloured nib and clip.

TWSBI, from Taiwan, is loved for its piston-filling demonstrators, and the Diamond 580 is its classic. 'Affogato' is the Italian dessert of espresso poured over ice cream, and the TWSBI 580ALR Affogato Onyx brings those warm, creamy browns to your desk.

What ALR means

On the TWSBI 580ALR Affogato Onyx, AL stands for the aluminium piston knob, cap ring and grip section, and R for the ridges on the grip, which give a more secure hold.

A big ink supply

The piston filler of the TWSBI 580ALR Affogato Onyx draws ink straight from the bottle and holds around 1.9ml, and the clear barrel shows you exactly how much is left.

Steel nib

The TWSBI 580ALR Affogato Onyx writes with a TWSBI stainless steel nib in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad or Stub 1.1. The nib unit can be swapped easily.

Easy to maintain

The TWSBI 580ALR Affogato Onyx comes with a wrench and silicone grease, so you can take the piston apart, clean it and keep it running smoothly. It is about 142mm long capped and weighs about 27g.

One of the best workhorse pen

I got the pen delivered today thanks to their awesome delivery service, and boy, oh boy, this writes like butter. With the right paper, it just glides through. Don't even think twice; just go for it.

The packaging is good. The ink flow is good and the shade is slightly darker than I expected. But nice Blue Black

K.B.
Dark blue

Ink saturation(bright colourful), wetness, feathering, smoothness is based on paper with good no porus coating not GSM . I tried with 3 paper

Additional ₹150 delivery cost even for order of ₹1200 can't be justified.

Excellent beginner Fountain pen!

I love the Fine nib. The scratchy feedback is amazing. The ink flow is excellent with the given ink cartridge. Go for it. No regrets!

One of favorite pens now. Bought it in broad (writes like a medium) with minimal feedback (lovely). The pen is light but not very large although it's 1911L.

Extremely Smooth. The medium nib is equal to the fine nib of German-made nibs. Very satisfied with the Ink flow and ergonomics of the pen!
