Ebonite body
18K solid gold nib
Limited to 288 pens worldwide
Piston filler mechanism
Rare, warm and richly coloured: the Aurora 88 Ebonite Fountain Pen in Magenta CT is a limited edition of just 288 pieces, turned from marbled purple ebonite.
Aurora of Turin first launched the 88 in 1947, and it remains one of the classic Italian fountain pens. The Aurora 88 Ebonite Magenta keeps the familiar tapered torpedo shape with chrome trim on the cap, body and section.
Ebonite is a hardened rubber that feels warm and slightly soft in the hand. On the Aurora 88 Ebonite Magenta, purple and magenta tones swirl through the material, so every pen in the edition has its own pattern.
Aurora makes its own nibs in-house. The Aurora 88 Ebonite Magenta has an 18K gold nib, which we offer in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad, and fills from a bottle with a built-in piston.
The edition is limited to 288 pieces worldwide.
No, it is a piston filler that draws ink straight from a bottle.
In Turin, Italy, where Aurora has made pens since 1919.
