Description
Jupiter's Great Red Spot is a storm so large that Earth could fit inside it, and it has been raging for centuries. Colorverse Massive Storm & Great Red Spot captures it in two bold colours: a 65ml bottle of dark teal and a 15ml bottle of burnt orange.
Key highlights
- Massive Storm (65ml): dark teal
- Great Red Spot (15ml): burnt orange, terracotta
- Shimmer: none
- Series: Season 8, The Grand Expedition
- Theme: Jupiter's Great Red Spot
- Water resistance: none
- Made in: South Korea
The biggest storm we know
The Great Red Spot is a giant anticyclone in Jupiter's southern hemisphere, observed for well over 150 years. Its swirling reddish-orange clouds sit among bands of churning gas, which inspired this set's contrast of deep, stormy teal and warm terracotta.
Complementary colours
Teal and orange sit opposite each other on the colour wheel, so they make each other pop. Massive Storm is a dark teal that works well as an everyday writing ink, while Great Red Spot is a warm burnt orange for headings, underlining and accents.
Ways to use the set
- Teal for daily notes, orange for dates and key points
- Autumn-themed journal pages and cards
- Sketches of skies, seas and sunsets
Frequently asked questions
Is Massive Storm suitable for office use?
Yes, a dark teal is readable and professional, with more personality than blue-black.

Are they water resistant?
No.
