Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil - Royal Blue/Black (Special Edition)
Bold primary colours, clean geometry and form that follows function: the Bauhaus school, founded in Germany in 1919, changed design for ever. The Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil in Royal Blue and Black is a special edition that celebrates that spirit in a pencil you can use every day.
The Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus Royal Blue pencil combines a royal blue body with black, two of the strong, simple colours closely linked with Bauhaus design. It is a lovely gift for architects, designers, artists and anyone who appreciates good industrial design.
A 1920s idea, made new
Drehgriffel means 'twist grip' in German. Rather than clicking a button, you turn the head of the Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus Royal Blue pencil to advance the lead, just as on the twist pencils of the 1920s. The movement is smooth and silent.
Hexagonal and precise
The body of the Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus Royal Blue pencil is precision-machined from aluminium and brass, then painted and sealed. Its hexagonal shape stops it rolling off the desk, and a slim tapered tip gives you a clear view of what you are drawing or writing.
0.7mm lead
The 0.7mm lead in the Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus Royal Blue pencil is a great all-round size: strong for writing and annotating, and bold enough for sketching and layout work.
Light and well balanced
At about 12g, 130mm long and 9mm in diameter, the Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus Royal Blue pencil is light and comfortable for long sessions at the drawing board or in a notebook.
