Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil - Black/Lemon (Special Edition)
Primary colours, honest materials and no unnecessary decoration: that is the Bauhaus way, and the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil lives it. The Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr.2 Bauhaus 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil in Black/Lemon is a special edition from the German notebook maker, finished in a bold pairing of black and lemon yellow.
The Bauhaus school opened in Weimar in 1919 and taught that everyday things like the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil should be both beautiful and useful. Leuchtturm1917 brings that thinking to its twist-action pencil, and the black and lemon yellow colourway of the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil makes it an eye-catching gift for designers, architects, students and anyone who sketches.
Twist, do not click
Drehgriffel means 'twist grip'. Instead of a push button, the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil advances its lead when you turn the head, an idea borrowed from the propelling pencils of the 1920s. It is quiet and precise, so the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil suits libraries, lectures and late-night planning.
Machined metal body
Aluminium and brass are precision-milled, painted and sealed to make the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil. The six-sided barrel will not roll off a sloping desk, and the slim tapered tip lets you see exactly where the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil meets the page.
Why 0.7mm lead?
A 0.7mm lead is sturdy enough for firm handwriting and bold enough for quick sketches, margin notes and layouts, so the Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil rarely snaps a lead mid-sentence.
Size
The Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil is 130mm long and 9mm across, and at about 12g it is light enough for long sessions. The Black/Lemon Bauhaus Drehgriffel pencil is clipless.
